This image came to us from a client who took a digital image of an ancestors painted portrait. Due to the image being behind glass and shot with the flash on, there was a serious hot spot on the image. Also, a window in the room is reflected in the girl's face. We were able to remove the frame and recreate the gradient background. We matched the color and graininess of the original painting and removed the distracting flash hot spot and glare lines. The girl's dress collar was reconstructed and we removed the ghosted window reflection and color corrected and sharpened the final image. This image was also enlarged to 16 x 20 and made ready for printing and framing.  This is classified as an advanced restoration job.
